It's not murder
Fine, I'll give you that one. Murder is the act of one human killing another human. but it is killing- needless killing. It's brutal, it's toture, it's not right to take another creatures life when we don't need to.

Lets face it. Pigs don't know whether they're going to be slaughtered or not, they don't know they were raised for slaughter, and they never will.
They do know that they are crowded, which is why they become so unhappy and males tend to fight [so they castrate them] and chickens peck eachother more than usual. How do you know that they aren't severely unhappy when they insincts are stiffled, they don't get to form animal families with eachother, they don't get to live out their full lives? It's every animal's instinct to live as good and as long as possible, how can they not react when they are uncomfortable, man handled and then killed? BTW ending their life in terror, that's real nice. I'm sure they are to stupid to understand it and that why they squeal, moan, and scream when it happens.

Farm animals are idiots.
Did you know that cows hold grudges? Or that pigs are classified as one of the smartest animals outside of primates [Even smarter than dogs *gasp* ]? Or that chickens have object constancy, which small children don't?Plus they can recognize 100 other birds based on their facial feature. And even if farm animals aren't as smart as humans, why does this automatically get to use them? If a person is stupid, extremely young, or retarded do we get to cause them physical harm because of that? I just don't see the logic in that. We are smarter that animals, so there is no need to act like them.

For example, if you were to keep a human in a barn without its consent, feed it loads and never let it outside, then one day someone came to throw you in a truck with "Mr. Meats" on the side, you'd know you're going to be the Joneses next Sunday roast.
Have you ever heard of feral children? Some of them have grown up in the wild, raised by other animals, but others have been extremely abused, or confined and not taught any thing. They can't communicate correctly and don't know how the world works and they sometimes just end up in mental institutions... anyway..so yeah. If you took a baby or really small child and raised them in a farm, or factory farm, with out teaching them how to talk, how to read, what people did, what a farm was for and then threw them in a truck that read "Mr.Meats" the no, they would not know what that they are going to be the Joneses next Sunday roast. Hell, just do that with somebody who can't read, or doesn't know any english. And why would it be all right if they didn't know? What's the point in manufacturing animals to die, when there is no need to consume them? Even if they were raised well and allowed to live their full lives, I'm not sure I'd eat meat.

They like farm life, they get fed, and they get company.
They couldn't give a rats arse if they where going to be slaughtered. They wouldn't care because they know no better.
They get fed a diet that fattens them up way faster than it needs to [which btw causes discomfort and pain. As well as stinky poo which I can tell you when I went to a pig farm they were waaaaaaayyyyy too close to. Which irritates their sensitive scent glands.], and they are crowded together. It's dark, it's hot, and it's dusty.
And are you telling me that if you buy a puppy and you start raising it in a cage, let it be close to or touching it's own waste,never paid it any attention, and never gave it good medical care for all of its life then it would be alright because the dog never knew anything else? What is the difference between a pig and a dog in this situation?

What I'm saying is, eating meat isn't murder.
Because murder is between humans. Fine, but I still think it's stupid and unkind.

2) Actually, alot of people do. I forget where I read it, but there are and increasing number of vegetarians and vegans, whether that is for health or ethical reasons I don't know. Plus my mom, who makes and records surveys for the health deptartment, said that they are getting more people who sayd that say are vegetarian than before [ not that they are asking 'are you a vegetarian' though, it's more about meat preperation.]. But I thinks it's about 2.3 - 4 % of the US.


Either way, I wasn't trying to start a fight, and the only reason I called you a murder enabler is because you told me not to call you a murderer. Why did you think I was going to? Because I'm vegan, and all vegans are crazy Peta puppet natzis that yell at you and try to make shame you into a diet change? It's really not that way, with all or even most of us. Hell, my painting didn't say "Meat is Murder" or " You are a giant asshole if you eat meat!". It just said 'Vegan' and had a cute pig eat eating slop. It was just me saying ' Hey, I love animals- I think they are beautiful, interesting, and amazing. This is why I'm vegan. The animals.' That's all. I just respect them enough not to eat them. I really just want people to see the image, remember it, and mabye research veganism themselves and make their own desisions. But you seem like someone who just wants to fight and argue and feel superior. I get that you are young and want some attention, so there I gave you some. I think when I was 13 I wasn't too fond of vegetarians, but I didn't find any on the internet to argue with. Hey, I even almost shoved a hamburger in my vegan friend's mouth a few months before I became vegan. I just wish that if you wanted to argue with a vegan/vegetarian, you'd find someone who was more of a dick. Why don't you just go to the Peta website and contact them to bitch at them? Really, it's fun. You just tell them what you think of them and you don't have to worry about getting into a public exchange.

Also, about your icon. Do you think's it's smart to use someone else's art [especially someon e else on deviantart] in your avatar? I mean, I totally get why you'd do it . But it seems like it could potentially get you into trouble with some higher ups. mabye. mabye not.
